This is a valuable tool for developing simulation competence and expertise and contains numerous web links, information on articles, conferences, books or other publications and courses for learning simulation skills.
As a co-author of this document, I believe its strength is the way the resources are organized. There are nine content areas for varied aspects of the role of the simulation educator/team. Each one of these is then leveled from novice to expert using the Benner Novice to Expert framework.
There are many ways to use the resources and it is created to be beneficial for starting at one's current level of skills and abilities and building on that foundation.
Here are the nine areas
Technology, simulation scenario design, debriefing, teaching/learning strategies, curriculum integration, evaluation, realism/fidelity, standardized/simulated patients, and simulation management. Recognizing your team's strengths and needs in each of these areas is valuable for building up each team member and filling the overall gaps for your educator workforce.
