NLN APRIL SIM CONFERENCES 2014


"Bridging the Gap Between Education and Practice:"
The NLN and STTI-Chamberlain College of Nursing Center Nursing Education Research Conference will be in Indainapolis April 3-5, 2014.
Dr. Beverly Malone, CEO of the NLN shares, "The emphasis will be on how education reserach can be used to improve our effectiveness in preparing nursing students for practice. Dr. Chrstine Tanner, Dr. Kristina Thomas Dreifuerst, and Dr. Angela McNelis will present. ...There will be concurrent sessions on a wide variety of topics."

The NLN /Boise State University Second Simulation Conference, Boise, Idaho, April 25-26.
Per Dr. Malone, "This conference covers standardized patients, emergency medical services requiring a multiprofessional response, game-based teaching and learning, and tools you can use, plus a great deal more. Featured speakers include keynoter Dr. Susan Kardong-Edgren of Boise State, Dr. Eric Bauman of the University of Wisconsin, and Dr. Pamela Jeffries of John Hopkins Universtiy. Dr. Janet Wilhaus, formerly NLN Simulation Scholar-in-residence and now a faculty member at Boise state, will lead a workshop on behavioral health learning with her colleague Dr. Shoni Davis"
